Sheffield City Sprints 23 August 2014

Twenty three swimmers from Borough of Barnsley Swimming Club amassed a total of seventy one personal best times in the first gala of the new season at the Sheffield City Sprints (short course) Meet held at Ponds Forge on 23 August 2014. Congratulations from the Club to all the swimmers on some excellent performances following the summer break from competition.

Those awarded medals for top three finishes were:

Speeding ticket:
Harriet Ostrowski-Jones 11 years 100m backstroke

Gold medals:
Isabelle Speed 10 years 50m breaststroke

Lewis Baker 10 years 100m breaststroke and 100m freestyle

Jessica Richardson 11 years 100m butterfly

Harriet Ostrowski-Jones 11 years 100m breaststroke

Sam Charlesworth 11 years 100m breaststroke

Silver medals:

Isabelle Speed 10 years 100m breaststroke

Lewis Baker 10 years 50m freestyle and 100m backstroke

Jessica Richardson 11 year 100m backstroke

Sam Charlesworth 11 years 50m breaststroke

Thomas Speed 15 years and over 50m butterfly

Reece Tate 15 years and over 100m butterfly

Bronze medals:

Maisie Inman 10 years 100m freestyle and 100m backstroke

Harriet Ostrowski-Jones 11 year 50m backstroke

Matthew Selous 11 years 100m backstroke

Alexander Holliday 13 years 100m breaststroke and 100m butterfly

Holly Milnes 15 years and over 50m freestyle and 100m butterfly

The others swimmers competing were Maea Hamby, Millie Hamby, Lucy Hatfield, Lauren Heywood,  Phoebe McNicholas, Lily Martin, Megan Mitchel, Alexandra Nicholson, Neve Wilkie, Macey Wollerton, Anya Yates, and Kalum Smart.
