BoBSC hit Top 5 at Mad March Meet

 

Borough of Barnsley attended Doncaster Dartes' "Mad March Sprints" at Adwick Leisure centre last weekend.

 

A sterling performance from the secured the club an overall placing of 5^th with a score of 159.5.

Lucy Wainright (13) secured the top girl award for age 13/14 with 14 points and Sam Guettat came in 6^th in the 13/14 boys grouping with a total of 16 points. 

 

Evie Lancster (9) secured 4^th with 12 points and in the 10 year old age group Alex Tiggardine claimed a solid 7^th places with Oliver Austin in the boys narrowly missing 4^th by 1 point.

 

Tristan Westcott (11) came second in the 11/12 yr old boys. In the 15 yr and over age category BoBSC's Noah Wragg (15) secured 4^th place and 18 points, with Casey Cammoile securing 8^th place (14 pts) and Amy Geuttat  10^th place (8 pts)

Yorkshire Championships 2019

Borough of Barnsley's swimmers have been taking part in the Yorkshire Championships over 3 weekends in the winter.  Eligibility is via achievement of required entry times which in turn sets the swimmers up against some of the countries fastest swimmers.

 

A total of 20 Barnsley swimmers made the entry times for multiple races

Men: Oliver Austin, Cody Ingram, Jonathon Wightman, Roman Wallace, Noah Wragg, Matt Selous, Kalum Smart and Myles Tupman

 

Women: Ella Minogue, Georgia Lee, Megan Firth, Macey Yoxall, Lola Yoxall, Harriet Ostrowski-Jones, Eleanor Valnetine-Bull, Melissa Hanson, Jasmine Ball, Kloe Eade and Jess Richardson

 

Top 3 placings were achieved by

Kalum Smart 15 yr old age group – Bronze 50m Butterfly

Georgia Lee 14 yr old age group – Bronze 50m Breaststroke
