BoBSC Vs The Rest of Yorkshire - Yorkshire Championships Weekend No 1 (5 & 6 February 2017)

 

The Borough of Barnsley swimming club attended the first of the Yorkshire Swimming Association 2017 Championships events at the weekend (5^th & 6^th February, John Charles Centre for Sport, Leeds).  Entry to the event was via previously recorded times and was open to the fastest 35 swimmers from Yorkshire clubs in each event and age category.  Top ten finishes were achieved by Megan Sharp (200 Individual Medley, 100m Butterfly, 100m freestyle), Jasmine Ball (100m Breaststroke). Roman Wallace came 4^th in the 100m breaststroke and 8^th in the 200m breaststroke with Curtis Harper achieving 2 golds (200m freestyle and 200m backstroke) and one bronze in the 400m freestyle.

 

Other swimmers who qualified for the championships were Eleanor Valentine-Bull (100m Backstroke, 100m breaststroke and 400m freestyle), Kloe Eade (100m freestyle), Jessica Richardson (100m backstroke,100m butterfly, 100m breaststroke, 400m freestyle), Georgia Lee (200m Individual Medley, 100m butterfly), Megan Sharp (100m Backstroke & 400mm freestyle) and Harriet Ostrowski-Jones (100m Breaststroke), Myles Tupman (200m Breaststroke) & Kalum Smart (200m Butterfly), Elizabeth Safonika (100m backstroke), Libby Tutrner (100m backstroke 100m butterfly, 100m breaststroke) & Greg Lugton (400m freestyle)
