The Borough of Barnsley swimming club attended the third of the Yorkshire Swimming Association 2017 Championships events at the weekend. Entry to the event was via previously recorded times and was open to the fastest 100 swimmers from Yorkshire clubs in each event and age category. Top ten finishes were achieved by Curtis Harper (Gold 100m freestyle and backstroke, silver 100m butterfly), Kalum Smart (100m butterfly), Thomas Speed (200m breaststroke) & Megan Sharp (200m butterfly)
Other swimmers who swam in the championships were Eleanor Valentine-Bull, Jasmine Ball, Georgia Lee, Harriet Ostrowski Jones, Libby Turner, Greg Lugton, and Roman Wallace
